All Ohioans—regardless of where we live, what we look like, or how much money we have—deserve to live in a healthy environment with safe water to drink, clean air to breathe, and vibrant public lands to explore. We deserve leaders who will stand up against polluting corporate interests to protect our environment. We deserve a government that will take bold climate action.

THANK YOU!
Thank you for pledging to vote in the 2020 General Election and committing to reach out to 20 people in your network about the upcoming election over the next 20 days! Below you will find examples of ways to engage as well as pertinent voter engagement information.
Once you have reached out to 20 people, please let us know how you’ve engaged your network by filling out this brief survey.
Remember, advocacy messages are more effective when people hear them from their own friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. There are many ways you can engage with your network:
Utilize our personal outreach toolkit to craft an email to those in your network with pertinent voter engagement information. Make sure to personalize for the biggest impact and to reach your 20x20 goal!
Utilize our personal outreach toolkit to share your voter engagement message on social media and tag your friends to reach your 20x20 goal.
If you feel comfortable and are able, share voter engagement information at an upcoming staff meeting, a church gathering, or during a neighborhood or block club meeting to reach your 20x20 goal.
Follow Up! Don’t be afraid to keep the conversation going. Follow up with your contact to make sure they have registered to vote and have made their plan to vote. If they’re looking for additional opportunities to get involved, suggest that they make their own 20x20 Election Commitment!
Additional Volunteer Opportunities: Once you’ve engaged your contacts, there are plenty of ways to reach out to more voters. If you’re interested in additional volunteer opportunities, we suggest signing up with the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition.
All eligible Ohio voters must submit their voter registration or updates to their voter registration by Monday, October 5, 2020. When reaching out to individuals in your network, we encourage you to ask: “Are you registered to vote and if so, have you checked your voter registration recently?”
Here are some brief follow ups:
Every election, we encourage eligible Ohio voters to think through their plan to cast their ballot. As our communities continue to fight COVID-19, making a plan becomes even more important. Ohio voters currently have three options to vote: (1) vote at home by mail, (2) vote early in-person at your local county Board of Elections, or (3) vote in-person on Election Day.
When reaching out to individuals in your network, we encourage you to ask: “How are you planning to vote in the 2020 General Election?” You can follow up with the directions from our webpage.
