The fate of the Arctic Refuge is now more threatened than ever before. Please ask Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown to stand up for the great outdoors and protect this uniquely wild landscape.
The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, often referred to as "America's greatest wilderness," is one of the wildest and most pristine places in America. Though it is located in the northeast corner of Alaska, every Ohio citizen owns this special place.
The Senate just voted to fast-track the leasing of the Arctic Refuge, putting it squarely in the sights of oil corporations. If Congress allows heavy industrial development in the Arctic Refuge, then all of our public spaces, even those special places you love in Ohio, should be considered at risk.
Senator Rob Portman is a key swing vote who could decide the fate of the Refuge. Please ask Senators Portman and Brown to keep drilling the Arctic Refuge OUT of the Congressional budget bill.
