Join our Democracy & Environment Action Team

We know that protecting Ohio’s environment includes protecting our democracy. That’s why we’re forming a volunteer team to support the Citizens Not Politicians Ballot Initiative. This team is essential to a clean Ohio because without a functioning and fair democracy, Ohio runs the risk of perpetuating environmental injustices that harm our communities. 

In order to get the Citizens Not Politicians Ballot initiative in front of Ohio voters in November 2024, we first need to collect signatures from voters across the state. 

What is the Citizens Not Politicians Ballot Initiative? 

The constitutional amendment would create a 15-member Ohio Citizens Redistricting Commission (OCRC), with members selected by citizens, not politicians. The OCRC would be made up of Democrats, Republicans and independent Ohio voters.

How can you help?

As a part of our volunteer team, we will provide opportunities to:

• Gather signatures in your community to place the Citizens Not Politicians initiative on the ballot
• Educate interested Ohioans on the amendment
• Be in regular communication with our campaign leads 
• Make a huge impact toward ensuring a healthy democracy and environment in Ohio!
