Everyone deserves safe drinking water, both at the source and at the tap. They also deserve accessible water. No one should fear losing their access to their water, whether due to a disaster or because their water costs too much.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact everyone, the essentials for survival have become more apparent in our lives. At our 2020 law conference, we focused our discussions on democracy, and we’ve seen our democratic systems tested over the past year. In the present, debates over infrastructure funding and climate policy rage across the nation.
This year, our focus on water will highlight the victories, struggles, and ongoing fights for clean, safe & accessible water in Ohio and across the country. From federal to state to local policy, to executive decision-makers to community organizers, we’re considering many approaches to ensuring water for all.
Our conference took place in November 2021.
