In December 2016, the Bureau of Land Management began leasing Ohio's only national forest to fracking operations. So far, they auctioned off nearly 2,000 acres, and, unless we show overwhelming public support for the Wayne, will continue to lease up to 40,000 acres of Wayne National Forest to oil and gas.
The Wayne National forest is a natural gem that hosts hundreds of thousands of visits every year. Ohioans rely on the Wayne to hike and explore, to hunt and fish, and to escape everyday life. We cannot allow oil and gas operations to scar the land, disturb endangered wildlife, and tear down precious forest.
By adding your name below, you are pledging to take a stand with us when we need your voice the most. Will you join us to save the Wayne?
